e-Sword: The Best Bible Software is Free
I’ve been using e-Sword for years, and so have a lot of other people with e-Sword being downloaded 5,000,000,000 times in over 160 countries as of January, 2007. e-Sword is Bible amazingly complete free software for your PC or Pocket PC which includes over a dozen free Bible translations along with seven other translations for a fee (those Bibles have copyrights and can’t be distributed at no cost).

View up to four Bible translations side-by-side, with the ability to have windows open with the commentaries, dictionaries, etc. e-Sword includes tutorials and online demonstrations so you will be able to use the software to its fullest right away. The developer of e-Sword, Rick Meyers, has a policy of abandoning any features that are “too complicated for anyone but a software engineer to use” to keep things simple.
